In most cases it is still possible to have central air even when your home is heated by a boiler. The most common option is to install an air handler with duct either in the attic or basement/crawl space. The duct can be the standard size or if space is tight using a smaller diameter tube type duct systems. If there is no room for any size duct, we can typically provide you with a mini-split system.

R-22 is slowly being phased out and will be completely phased out by 2020. New non-ozone depleting refrigerants are available now. As the phase out date approches, production of R-22 will steadily decrease. How does this impact you? As the production is decreased the cost of refrigerants for these units will increase, which could increase your costs if your air conditioner uses R-22.
Air filters should be inspected every 30 days. Replace your filter when it is showing signs of dust on the face. Don't wait until it is dirty, as this puts a great deal of stress on your furnace. Replacing your filter regularly can save up to 10% annually.
